Analysis lives
inside YouTube.
The Vidlens Chrome extension drops SEO scores, view-per-hour numbers, and outlier badges directly onto every YouTube video card. No new tab. No second app to open. Studio gets the same treatment: title length, description depth, and tag gaps show up before you hit Publish.
One install.
Earns its keep in four places.
The right-side panel
Sits on the right edge whenever a video is open. Score, tags, engagement rate, hourly views. Same tab. No jumping around.
Card badges
On the homepage, on search results, on channel pages, a small score badge appears on each video card. You can size up how a video is structured before you click it.
Studio assistant
On the upload screen, the score updates live as you type the title. Description depth, missing tags, title length. You see them before Publish, not after.
Popup search
Click the toolbar icon and a small box opens. Type a keyword. Volume, difficulty, trend, all there. You never have to leave YouTube.
Three minutes.
Probably less.
Download the file
Grab vidlens-extension.zip. Right click, "Extract here." A folder on your desktop works, since it's easy to remove later if you change your mind.
Load it into Chrome
Paste chrome://extensions into the address bar. Flip on "Developer mode" in the top-right. Hit "Load unpacked" and point it at the folder you just extracted.
Plug in your token
Click the Vidlens icon in your toolbar, open settings. Copy the API token from your dashboard, paste it into the box. Done. Open YouTube and the badges show up on their own.
